You Could Win $10,000 for Hospice!
Support the Great Canadian Giving Challenge on www.CanadaHelps.org
Vernon, BC: North Okanagan Hospice Society is encouraging donors to support their favourite charity on www.canadahelps.org. In recognition of Canada’s 150th Birthday, Canada Helps is asking Canadians to support the Great Canadian Giving Challenge where every $1 donated through Canada Helps in June automatically enters their charity to win a $10,000 donation!
Ruth Edwards of North Okanagan Hospice Society states, “This is a great way to give extra support to your chosen charity. You can search for your charity on Canada Helps, and you can cast as many votes as you like, by way of your donation.”
In addition to the Great Canadian Giving Challenge, NOHS initiated a monthly donor campaign in celebration of Canada’s 150th Birthday. “Our goal is to gain 150 donors at an average of $25 per month; however every gift is appreciated. Funds raised will sustain our community education and caregiver support programs. June can be a quiet month for donations, so this challenge from www.canadahelps.org is a very welcome boost.”
To help meet our goal, Abakhan Vernon, Debt Restructuring Consultants has generously donated two $250 Visa cards – every new member to the Hospice Monthly Donor Program will receive a ballot in a draw for one of these $250 cards. If this individual refers another person who becomes a monthly donor, they will receive another ballot in the draw.
