Does your family have Hospice memories? Do you have a story to share that illustrates the impact that Hospice had on you and your family, friends, colleagues? Would you consider sharing your story with us so we can help others understand the benefits of residential hospice care? Time passes so quickly and memories fade - we want to capture these stories before they are lost.
North Okanagan Hospice Society (NOHS) has served the residents of the North Okanagan since 1984. Our initial programs were volunteer-based grief counselling and support of palliative individuals and their families in the home. When Hospice House opened in 2001, we began to serve hundreds of families in our community by providing excellent end of life care at our 12 bed Hospice. Our service in the home, grief counselling and community education programs continue to this day.
We invite you to craft your stories or video clips and send them to Hospice with your name and contact information through the form on this page or by email to [email protected]. You can also choose to send us your story anonymously. They will become part of the rich fabric of Hospice history.
