North Okanagan Hospice Society’s Signature Event of 2023 is coming to the Prestige Vernon Lodge Grand Ballroom.

Brian Martin

Brian Martin has been a fixture on Okanagan radio for over 25 years, Brian has found his forever home on Beach Mornings with Brian and Rebecca. When not at his dream job with his dream BFF Rebecca, Brian loves to spend time with his wife and children.

Rebecca Barton

Rebecca Barton was born in Inuvik, NWT, where her love of snowflakes began. She has always talked too much and is pumped to have turned that into a career over the last 20 years working in radio throughout the beautiful Okanagan In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, hanging out with her family, and photography.

Band

The Legendary Lake Monsters are a dynamic and entertaining horn driven party and dance band. Featuring 5 driving horns, 3 tasty vocalists, a super tight rhythm section, rounded of by a Hammond B3 organ plus keys. “The Monsters” play both original and covered horn-driven dance music, from R&B, Soul to Salsa to Swing, with a healthy dose of pop and rock from the 60’s to the present. The band is well known in the Okanagan for packing the dance floors and providing infectious rhythms and will even feature several “Bond” theme songs during the evening.

Dancers

In an homage to our past Dancing with the Vernon Stars events, Jens and Heather from Vernon’s City Dance will show everyone how to cut a rug. Jens has over 25 years of experience teaching all dance styles and was extensively trained in Europe in Ballroom and Latin Dance. Heather is a gold medal level ice dancer and for over 10 years has trained with Jens and is also an accomplished ballroom, Latin, swing, country and tango dance instructor.
