How will the education through NOHS ensure job security?
Building your team will ensure their have job security in their current job. Most of our courses are ‘portable’ meaning, the certification of training and education time is recognized across care settings (LTC, Hospice, Hospital, Home and Community Care). The courses provided are based on provincial BC-Centre for Palliative Care Competencies and national Hospice Palliative Care Competencies and Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association: A Model to Guide Hospice Palliative Care.
What education delivery methods are available?
NOHS is proud to provide high quality end of life and palliative care education through a variety of delivery methods. These include Face to face, and virtual delivery. Face to face delivery of education is available at your worksite. If you do not have appropriate space to facilitate education, training can be done off site. Off-site education will be at a place that is convenient to your business and NOHS. Of course, we are always happy to host your organization in our NOHS boardroom! Virtual delivery is available through TEAMs.

What courses are available for Interdisciplinary Health Care Workers?
NOHS can has the following course available for Interdisciplinary Health Care Workers. Interdisciplinary Health Care Workers is also known as Allied Health and includes any registered professional. This includes but is not limited to Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Social Worker etc.
The following courses can be adapted to be appropriate for Interdisciplinary Health Care Workers. This adaptation will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Where can I find education and training grants?
Education and training grants are available through the BC Employer Training Grant found HERE.
The B.C. Employer Training Grant provides funding to small, medium and large enterprises to support skills training for their workforces, including prospective new hires.
The intent of this program is to help British Columbians access the skills training required to adapt to the labour market’s changing job requirements, while also encouraging employer involvement in skills training.
The Employer Training Grant helps employers pay for training, which in turn helps employees experience increased job security or move into better jobs.
Employers can apply as often as they need and receive 80 per cent of the cost of training up to $10,000 per employee, with a maximum annual amount per employer of $300,000.
