Journeys Campaign

In October and November, through our Journeys Campaign direct mail appeal, we asked for your support of our grief and bereavement programs and services.  Thank you to all donors, $29,900 was raised to ensure the continued delivery of compassionate, respectful support of those experiencing a journey through grief.


2012 Home Building Centre Golf Tournament


The 6th annual held June 1st at Spallumcheen GCC raised $26,740.76 total YTD over $146,000.

COFFEE PARTY for Hospice 2012

Thank you… to our corporate and private supporters, and our volunteers who were very hardworking, dedicated, creative and resourceful.Together the North Okanagan raised $10,123.23 net in support of the Volunteer Programs offered by North Okanagan Hospice Society.


Hike for Hospice 2013: Communities That Share

Thank you... to our wonderful volunteers, hikers & their supporters who participated in making this year’s Hike for Hospice another success. Together the North Okanagan raised over $27,000 in support of the Grief and Bereavement services offered by North Okanagan Hospice Society.

2012 Chinese New Years Year of the Dragon Fundraiser Dinner

Dr. and Mrs. Ghee Hwang continued their support of Hospice by hosting their annual Chinese New Year dinner fundraiser. This year's event raised $1600, bringing the total to over $23,000 since they first hosted the event in 2003.


South of Pine Street Fashions

Since 2006, Shella Ledingham of South of Pine Street Fashions has conducted fashion shows with Hospice as the beneficiary. Shella's 2012 fundraiser event raised $1065 bringing the total in support of Hospice programs and services to $6645.75

Salt Team – Re/Max

Lisa Salt and her team of Re/Max realtors contribute a portion of their commissions and referrals to charity each year. Again this year, the Salt Team generously chose to support Hospice and presented Hospice with $3180 raised with over $21,000 YTD


Coldstream Truck Parts

Each year, Bruce Davies of Coldstream Truck Parts donates $100 for each short-handed goal scored by the Vernon Vipers hockey team. This year, $1000 was raised for the 2010/2011 season, bringing Coldstream Truck Parts' total contributions to $20,200.


Nolan’s Pharmasave

The partners at Nolans Pharmasave are also teamed up with the Vernon Vipers to raise funds for Hospice. $1 for each "goal against" is donated to Hospice. Nolans continues to be an ongoing supporter of Hospice with their pharmaceutical expertise in palliative care along with providing fundraising and sponsorship support. Including Viper's games donation of $601 for the 2010/2011 season, Nolan's has contributed over $26,602 in financial resources in support of Hospice.


Vernon Firefighters Benevolent Society

Vernon’s firefighters generously donated the proceeds from a 50/50 raffle held at the Vernon Vipers playoff game in May. $1,372.58 was donated in support of Hospice grief and bereavement programs and services.


 2011 Festival of Crafts

$4,853.12 was raised at the 2011 Festival of Crafts - November 18 & 19th 2011.


2012 Dancing with the Vernon Stars


$24,091.00  was raised at the 2012 Dancing With The Stars held Friday, October 5th at the Vernon Recreation Centre.


3rd Annual Cherries Jubilee

$3350 was raised in 2012 through the sale of 120 5-lb boxes of organic cherries, donated by Mike and Beverly Davies of M & B Farms, Lake Country. Over $8,000 has been raised to date from this very tasty fundraiser. Watch for this fundraiser and your chance to purchase some great cherries again in 2013.
